  • Will rotary produce better shine than DA?

Going to add a DA into my polishing process. But, will DA create nice gloss and shine as good as rotary?

Will it be better to polish with rotary for shine, than polish again with DA for perfection? I hope that is not necessary

What I will be using is PC 7424xp, SoftBuff pad and M205 or M80.

A rotary in the hands of a novice can thoroughly mess up your paint. The DA is pretty much fool-proof....just take your time and read up on it's proper use. I love my DA....best money I ever spent.

I know this isn't a sun shot but this is using PC7336sp, #80 and #7 on polishing pad #8207 and NXTv2 with finishing pad.

If you are already skilled with a rotary and can finish hologram free it will almost aways produce a better finish.

I'm sure Mr.Brown will chime in, but here's a quote from him..

I think this was a great idea for a test... just not buying that the rotary will deliver a better result than another machine, or even hand applied liquids for that matter.
All other things being equal, it comes down to amount of paint removed, the finishing capability of the liquid and applicator, and the expertise level of the dude doing the work.
