  • deep crystal or mirror glaze

Could someone please tell me the differance between swirl x in the consumer line vs. mirror glaze swirl x? Just ordered my Megs dual action polisher! Can't wait to start practicing on my mower, lol. Thanks for the help.

There is no Mirror Glaze product called SwirlX. We have M09 Swirl Remover 2.0 but it's not as aggressive as the consumer product and it uses a diminishing abrasive rather than the SMAT in SwirlX.

Overall, what are you looking to accomplish?

I have light swirls and a few scratches on a black 05 corvette.

You may find either of these products to be too mild to correct even light defects in your paint as your particular make and model car is well known for having pretty hard paint. There are always exceptions to that, and we've dealt with a particular example that was relatively easy to work on, but that was with Ultimate Compound and not SwirlX. Depending on how particular you are, you'll most likely want UC to initially remove the defects with a yellow polishing pad, but then follow with SwirlX to refine the finish with a black finishing pad prior to waxing. A black car may show some hazing following the UC/polishing pad step - not always, but it can happen and we just want you to be prepared for that eventuality. But any hazing, if it does exist, should be very, very minor.

thank you for your fast, informative responses. Much appreciated! I tried 2 passes with swirl x by hand and it did nothing, then 2 passes with scratch x and that did diminish the swirls by about half. I then recieved a code in my email for 20% off Megs products and ordered the dual action polisher. So that is where I am now.
