  • M105 Dusting.

Is it me or does it happen to you guys too. I'm using the W4000 wool pad on a rotary and using the proper speed for the M105. But I'm getting this crazy dusting going on. Does it dry that fast? Is my surface too hot to begin with? I even tried it with a W9207 wool pad and it started to gum up and become hard to remove in some areas. Either way, it still did it's job followed by some M205 and M21 yielded fantastic results.

It's normal. M105 is a fast cutting compound but it dries fast and creates a lot of dust. It helped me to fix several seriously deep scratches without sanding working on rotary buffer. M205 is a perfect follow-up.

Yep, M105 is a challenge. The way I work with it is to make sure I take the time to prime the pad thoroughly... and it is a great product.

So...I have really hard paint. Should I continue to use the wool pad when I need 105 or use the foam pad? Thanx.
