Just curious if anyone on MOL is using the S3FIS Unigrit Foam Interface in their arsenal of detailing tools. Since I switched from the 3M Hookit 2 to the Meguiar's interface I have experienced a very short lived product from the S3FIS Unigrit Foam Interface.
The question I have is in the Meguiar's 2010 Catalog, the 3" S3FIS Unigrit Foam Interface has 6 holes for cooling I assume. When I purchased my S3FIS Unigrit Foam Interface pads they had no holes. What is happening is that due to the heat generated by the pneumatic tool the laminated velcro seperates from the foam. I would hope that a professional would get more than just 2 weeks of use without this happening.
Today I purchased 2pcs of the 3M Hookit Foam Interface and ironically it looks just like the one in the Meguiar's catalog ? It has the 6 holes for cooling and the foam core is a bit thicker and the velcro is more sticky.
I understand that this is not an expensive part, but if the life expectancy is such, maybe it should be offered in a 2pc, 4pc or a value pack.
Thanks again Meguiar's for your support!
