  • Wheel Brightner dilutions

Can Wheel brightner be safely used at stronger than 4:1 for faster brake dust removal and for taking off really stubborn brake dust. I mean 4:1 works but it take a while and a lot of agitation to get the every thing off.

    Heres WB 4:1 in action

Patience is a virtue. I would not go stronger than 4:1 on Wheel Brightner. It's already quite potent at that dilution. Sometimes getting good detailing results just takes time and effort.

I'd rather do several passes with WB at 4:1 and a bit of passion than try to mess with the dilution.

After watching your video i would also not recommend letting that stuff touch your skin. It is some strong nasty stuff!!!

This is exactly how bad things happen and then people...complain. They don't follow the manufacturer's recommended dilutions. WB, like many products, are concentrates; not "ready to use but dilute if you'd like" products. Take Simple Green, for a very popular example. Stick with 4:1

        Don't be touching it, either...

I do wear gloves when I use WB but jus didn't have any with me that day. Surprisingly, it didn't irritate my skin either . The reason I asked about if its safe to use it stronger than 4:1 is because I read on some other forums that people have used it 1:1 or even concentrated.

And since where already talking about wheel brightner, I have a question.
Is it safe to use WB on painted/CC wheels that have curb rash on them?

Again, when there is a problem from someone using it this way, that is going to be exactly why...they didn't follow directions. Take a look around here. There are many threads where people have had problems with products because they didn't dilute them properly, or at all.

If you want to give it a go, that's fine. I'm just saying, don't be shocked if one day something not-good happens, is all.

No Sir . The saved time wouldn't be worth damaged rims
