Hyperdressing 1gal container cracked

Hey guys, I run into a little problem and I thought I'd post it here. I came back home from work last week and when I entered through my garage I smelled something funny, took me few sec to figure out what's going on, but I catched on that it smells like Meguiars product
So I look onto my shelf and I see whole wall in blue hyperdressing The container cracked and over 0.5gal slowly leaked onto my wall.
Are the chemicals in hyperdressing that caused this or I'm just out of luck ? I got around $1k of Meguiars products in my garage and should I take some care of storing them ? I wouldn't mind grabing another 1gal, it's just that I had this shipped to holding company in US, then I crossed the border to pick it up and I brought it back to Canada. So a lot of work to bring this in, and it ended up making my garage wall shiny :P

I'm not too gentle with my things, all have been bumped a bit. Just one Multi-Piece Wheel Wash bottle broke.

Wheel Brightener, APC, etc would be the stronger ones, as far as 'eating' the bottle.

I'd bet you could store Hyper Dressing in a milk jug to keep it safe, just saran wrap under the lid for a better seal.

It looks like the bottom corner of you Hyper Dressing bottle took a hit. As Murr mentioned the same bottles are used for Wheel Brightener etc. without issues.

As a reseller I have only seen one issue with a Detailer line bottle breaking or leaking. I think the box was hit by a forklift (BTW it was covered by insurance). Apparently the customer didn't even get the box it was so damaged. To me this is a fairly good indicator that the bottles are fairly strong. That Shampoo Plus bottle took way more of a beating than your Hyper Dressing bottle. But your Hyper Dressing bottle looks like it had a fairly sharp crease on the point of impact.

I feel your pain. A couple of weeks ago, I went out in the garage and saw a puddle under the front of my car. I immediately thought anti-freeze. Upon further inspection, my used 1 gal. jug of shampoo plus cracked and leaked down the wall and settled by the car. Transferred it to a empty water bottle. Saved most of it. But in 5 years that is the only issue. Not bad at all.

Yeah, it just happened out of a blue, last time I touched the 1gal container was maybe 3months ago, when I took it off the shelve and pumped the small bottle, and back to the shelf it went. I guess I was just unlucky

That's a long time for it to sit with nothing happening and then all of a sudden it leaks. That's unfortunate.

Could you tell where on the bottle it was leaking from?

You might keep in mind that with Winter coming up in the near future,to move your stuff into a warm area of your house,to keep from freezing. I have seen more people forget his and end with useless products. Yah I know you live in Ont and the cold comes a little later on your street than the rest of the great white north,but just a reminder. If this is part of your fall regime,apologies.

Thx for the reminder, I got lots of stuff to move, last year I forgot and moved it in January, lol. The garage doesn't get that cold but it's definitely frigging cold there.

Unfortunately, it is no good anymore since the container is cracked. Send it to me and I while make sure it gets disposed of properly.

are you sure someone didnt knock it off the shelf then set t back up there?
