  • Question about M21

Is it that much better than NXT 2.0? I picked up a bottle at a car show over the weekend from a Meguiars booth and the salesman claimed there is quite a bit of difference in the qualities and abilities of M21 over NXT.

The #21 1.0 did seem a lot better than Nxt 1.0.

Haven't gotten to #21 2.0 yet, but never see a bad thing about it.

      Re: Question about M21

The major difference between NXT 2.0 and M21 2.0 is the ability to apply M21 2.0 via rotary with caution - where as the consumer-minded NXT 2.0 lacks certain oils that facilitate high-speed machine application.

As far as looks and protection, the differences are imperceptible.

So aside from the rotary potential they're pretty much the same? Is 21 suppose to be purple or did I get a bad bottle? Has anyone noticed a difference in the vehicles appearance and such after application?

          Re: Question about M21

It is purple. You have a good bottle. I generally use #21 2.0 on the majority of my details. I am obviously happy with the finished results.

            Re: Question about M21

I've used M21 2.0 quite a bit. While i have not personally used NXT, I have seen various claims from users of both that 21 lasts longer. Can't back up those claims, but I can say that #21 has given me a solid 3-4 months of protection for my daily driver when used in conjunction with UQD and UQW.

I also use #21 a lot. It`s all i ever use for winter protection.

in the summer i #26, but for long lasting protection i tend to start using #21 for all details in the wintertime, from sept. on.
On my own car, I usually do a dual-coat in mid october, and it is still not quite gone when i remove and do my spring detail in april/may

Wow, you have an amazing country. You are even much further North than I am in Canada. I'd like to visit some day. I have a buddy that lives in Oslo, that I met in Mexico. I'm Icelandic, I'd fit in. I'd love to motorcycle along the fjords.

Back on topic, I can see why you said arctic environment and why you need a wax that lasts in the winter months.

Thanks, Bill! Come on over, we`ll have a detailing party!
While we still are cooping this tread, I actually have some relatives in Edmonton.. go figure.

                      Ok, back to #21.
I think #21 is probably the most sturdy sealant out there. -But, it also looks really good. On silver/light colored cars it looks just as good as a lot of other waxes out there. Great product.
