Detailer Line and MSDS information

I've been reading through the Material Safety Data Sheets or "MSDS" for various products in the detailer line that I use.

The MSDS sheet lists one of the hazards of using Hyper Wash as: "This product is for use by professional car washes and detailers only and is NOT intended for home use."

I was curious as to why this is. Is it insufficient labeling, the need for special handling, the need for safety equipment when handling, they don't want the residual going down the street instead of a sewer, etc.?

Pretty much the entire Detailer line says the same thing. Likely it's the labeling.

Companies have to acquire the MSDS sheets and employees need to be able to access these sheets (at least in Canada they do). This isn't something that is reasonable to expect from a consumer.

Not completely sure but I bet that the dilution ratio of that product has something to do with it. Typical car wash solutions are 1 oz to 1 gallon of water or 128:1. Hyper Wash is 400:1. With that ratio, very easy for the average person not closely measuring to use way too much product and create run-off concerns.

Usually industrial type products aren't recommended for home use. Dilution ratio's I'd think are a large part of that if I had to guess. If you know what Wheel Brightener is, you probably get where I'm coming from with it.
