I think my M21 is toast

I think I know the answer but thought I would ask. I picked up a bottle of M21, version 1 not 2, from an individual who was selling some things off.

It doesn't matter how much I shake it, it comes out of the bottle with clear liquid separating from the creamy purple liquid.

I tried using it on my husband's car, just shaking the clear liquid off as best I could. I only used 1 coat like I usually do. Well, it feels right on the paint, but it isn't beading liquid like I would expect. The water beads are way too big, like the better part of an inch long, so they take a long time to dry.

So I think maybe this stuff is just too old, or maybe it was stored in too hot weather or too cold temperatures, so I don't have much hope for this.

Any suggestions or do I toss it?

I had a similar experience with the M21 v2.0. One day it was fine like a hand lotion and the next it had turned to a watery liquid. A call to Meguiar's Customer service rectified the issue. I'd not use the watery solution.

They had a bad batch of #21, the original version, it's possible you got some of it. Might as well give Meguiar's a call...

I have to give Meguiar's a big thanks. I had a bottle of M21 2.0 go watery. I called and asked it this was a common problem. I had only used this bottle twice and had stored it with bottles of M21 1.0 and a couple bottles of NXT 2.0. All the others were ok. The CSR said he would send me out a new bottle. After a couple weeks I called again and asked if they had any tracking info as I had not received the replacement and they did not. They sent me two bottles of M21 to compensate me for my inconvenience. I received these yesterday.

M21 is a great product and Meguiar's is a great company.

If you've shaken it for a good minute and it's still seperated, it's no good and I would just toss it.

My #21 always had a touch of water too it, never stopped working.
