  • #5 New Car Polish - More User Friendly

While I have long owned bottles of #7 polish, and I always thought it brought out an amazing shine, I always found applying and removing to be a bit tough, even if the humidity I work in is in an acceptable range.

Therefore, I ordered #5 New Car Polish and used it today on my black car. Wow. The same wow factor when wiping it off as #7, but that applying and wiping off went so much easier.

I will actually take the time to apply a pure polish more often now that I have #5. I found it easier to use than the consumer polish too.

Topped with NXT, I found the appearance ended up similar to using Gold class, yet I have the protection of a synthetic. A nice detail day.

Thanks #5 Polish! You seem underrated.

Glad to see that it worked out so well for you!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

If you are in a humid area, #5 is a great choice.

#7 is difficult to remove on some days. I may have to try #5 someday. It must be underrated, I didn't know it existed lol

Deep Crystal Polish is a good product as well. Goes on and off very easily.

Yes, but this is the consumer product I mentioned above.

I found #5 better than Deep Crystal.

#5 is green by the way, interesting.

M05 dries fast and dries white and powdery, just to note because that's completely opposite of #3, #7, #81 and #45, all "pure" polishes or non-abrasive polishes. #10 is also a non-abrasive pure polish that doesn't really dry and is very clear, non-powdery but it's for plastic not paint.

Its great that Meguiars has so many options to suit everyone. Though #7 is works fine for me. Not super-easy to wipe off, but it is relatively easy once you get the technique down pat.

Aren't you not supposed to let a polish dry? Or is M05 an exception?

I think M05 is the exception. At least, that is what I have read under the Directions section of ADS.

Thanks. So is #5 not really a pure polish then? The result did seem very similar to #7, just easier as I praised about.

M05 is a pure polish with a slightly different application technique. It is a pure polish though.
