  • D151 Sampler bottle Size

I purchased the 32 oz. sampler bottle of D151 from ADS a while ago. This product is super-thick! The bottle cap that came with it has a very small orifice and it is hard to squeeze product out onto the pad. I tried to transfer the product to one of my other bottles, but it was so thick that the product wouldn't transfer without making a big mess and wasting valuable product.
This is a shot in the dark probably, but does anyone know the cap size (threads per inch, I believe) of the sampler bottles from ADS (Meg's)? I buy all of my extra bottles, containers, etc. from usplastics.com; here is a link to their page for Yorker Spout Caps. You'll see that they have different thread sizes for caps:

This versatile spout cap is great for dispensing many different products, from lubricating oil to barbecue sauce.

It would be about $1.50 to just order all of them; but I figure why waste in case someone actually knows which would fit properly?

ADS also sells the replacement caps: http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/yorker-spout.html; but would these fit my D151 bottle?

Additionally: say that I continue to be impressed with D151; and wish to purchase it in 1 gallon quantities instead of 32 oz. bottles. For those of you that do this, (Looking at YOU, Tim Lingor, with your 5 or 6 gallon supply of D151 shown in a photo in this thread: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...roduct+reviews); how do you transfer from the 1 gallon jug into a dispenser bottle with D151's consistency?

    Thanks!

I use this Meguiars's "ketchup style" bottle, Item #M9912.

The bottle has a wide opening and I can easily squeeze the product from my gallon jug and into the bottle without making a mess.

I've tried on bottles with a smaller opening, and like you said it just makes a mess. This bottle works good because it has the wider mouth and you can cut the tip to whatever width you want to make dispensing the product from the squeeze bottle easier.

I put a ketchup style top onto the 151 gallon jug and squeeze it into a dispenser bottle like that.
