  • All Season Smearing

I just got my order today for ADS, so I HAD to wash my truck! Got it all washed up, the wheel brightener is good stuff, dilluted it about 7:1, so I had to work it a little.

Anyway, I used all season dressing on my vinyl toneau cover, using a foam pad, it smeared like crazy. And the new pad turned black, like real black. I assume this has some cleaners in it to turn it that black. Any trick to getting it not to smear? I went over it 2-3 times and couldnt get it even. It did a real nice job on my tires. Hoping I found something that last a week or more instead of washing away in the morning dew.

ASD should be good for it.

Of course making sure it is clean is good, if you got any APC or something as well.

But either way, I would want to apply the ASD, let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, then come back with a dry towel to wipe up excess.

Never heard of asd smearing. My guess is the cover was not cleaned completely, and you applied to much.
Give it a thorough cleaning again. Then apply a thin coat of the asd. Then like Murr suggested go back over it after a few minutes, too remove any excess.
