Ok, I'm a rank amateur and should stay in the consumer line until I can raise my 0 to 100 rating as Mr. Stoops would say to at least a 25.
However I was in Auto Zone looking for some safe-for-newbies wheel cleaner, when there they were...#7 and #26. Oh I had heard about them...adding that magical "pop" to a finish.
Credit card meltdown...
I got home, taped off a small portion of the back lift gate, UQD off all the yellow pollen, QD and clayed the area, grabbed a little SwirlX and killed a few swirls, then with gentle care and just the right amount of passion I put on some #7. Oh my, nirvana. Oh heck, do it again...oh my...
Then came the #26. Even with my arthritic fingers it went on smooth and fast. While I waited for it to dry, I grabbed a little Ultimate Protectant and did the wear plate on the top of the bumper.
Can't wait, can't wait, swipe test, can't wait, can't wait, swipe test...yee haw time to wipe it off. Yeah not too bad big whoop I can see my reflection in the black finish, let's roll the car out into the sun and have a look.
Holy smokes, the sun hits the newly finished lift gate, the reflection heads to the neighbor's yard, hits the dog, the dog turns his head towards the car and is blinded by the reflection. Literally blinded, owner comes over threatens to sue, but heck I don't care look at that shine!!
Good heavens, numbers could be in my future!!
(Sorry no photos, you would have chastised me for the swirls I didn't get killed before polishing and I can't take criticism)
