  • Product Storage Question

Many products, such as #2 for example, state "Do Not ALLOW To Freeze". Is this referring to 32ºF or the freeze point of the product?

  • #2
Well, it's not frozen until it's frozen. I would assume they mean until it turns from liquid to solid, not when it reaches 32F.

If I were you, I'd play it safe and keep them somewhere cool and dry, though, like your basement. It ***** when perfectly good product goes bad and has to be chucked.

I'm pretty sure Aurora40 is correct on this but I find out the specifics when everyone returns after the holidays. The big picture being you don't want to let your products freeze.

I store my detailing supplies in an unheated garage. I would think with the HC solvents the freeze point would be several degrees below 32ºF. If this is the case, I should be OK as the temperature seldom drops much below freezing, and I'd rather not bring in my supplies in the house with the kids.
