  • M26 - Liquid vs paste

    Hi Guys,

In Australia we only get the paste version of M26. But I'm concerned that the paste version might mess with my M07 polish base because the paste might need a little bit more rubbing to spread it. Therefore I'm considering ordering a bottle of liquid M26 from the US. Is it worth going to all the trouble of importing the liquid version?

    Cheers, Nick.

You can prime the pad if you are really worried about it not spreading as well. There is no difference between paste and liquid versions other than their form. Liquid is easier to get it onto a machine pad for obvious reasons, for example.

This really should not be a concern at all. M26 has zero cleaning ability so, as you suspect, how vigorously you apply it will determine whether or not your pad does any cleaning. But there should be no need to apply vigorously at all. Just a quick spin of the pad in the tin to pick up a small of product should allow you to spread it thinly, evenly and with very little pressure.

It's a fantastic wax in either form, and we'd hate to see you incur the cost of importing the liquid version when you really shouldn't have to.

Thanks, I'll buy the paste version.

It will be nice to partner up M07 with M26 for the first time.
