Look son, say you spent $10 on a 16 oz bottle of quick detailer. You then dilute it with 16 oz of distilled water. A bottle of distilled water costs about $1.25 for 64 oz. If you were to do the math, (which you are obviously uncapable of) you would have figured out that you now have double the product for an extra .31 cents. That would be .32 cents per oz vs .62 cents per oz. plus you would have 48 oz of distilled water to do with whatever you wish. If you want to get technical, you get double of a $10 product for a mere buck & a quarter, yet you insist on undermining me by saying it costs more by diluting it.

I have had good results by diluting QD with distilled water, as has many forum members here, and on other sites.

you must go out and spend more money on something, that it will cost more.

There you go again...you sound like a broken record.

    Apparently you do not understand...

    Main Entry: un·der·mine

2 : to wash away supporting material from under

3 : to subvert or weaken insidiously or secretly

4 : to weaken or ruin by degrees

    Main Entry: sub·vert

1 : to overturn or overthrow from the foundation

2 : to pervert or corrupt by an undermining of morals, allegiance, or faith

I know plenty of people who dilute their QD with distilled water, as well as use just pure distilled water as a final wipedown. I've shown that dilluting the QD with distilled water yields double the product for an additional .32 cents.

You son, clearly undermined me, and now you're just lying.

Umm...lets clarify this son. You undermined somebody on the forum, I pointed it out, SVT Lightning backed you up. WHERE IN THIS THREAD DID I DISRESPECT SVT Lightning???? Both you & SVT Lightning are the ones whom talked down on me...and you have the nerve to talk to me about tact????

    There you go lying again.

Oh, and by the way, there is a lot more to life than figuring out the cost of a project.

I've been happily married to a wonderful, beatiful woman for the last 14 years, I have two beautiful children. Like I'm going to come on here and take lessons on life from a 22 year old???

I posed a valid question, and you clearly berated me. That was 2 1/2 years ago. Lydia also made a comment, but realized that she had made a mistake, and subsequently apologized. Mike Phillips took your side because I had just stumbled upon this site, and had been a member for only 2 days, and at that time, you had been a member for 2 1/2 years. In Phillip's mind, it is ok for a 2 1/2 member to berate someone whom has been a member for only 2 days, even if the new member asked a legitimate question.

Phillips deleted all the evidence, but it was clear, that both himself, and you, abused a new forum member. I did absolutely nothing wrong. Thats why I left for 2 1/2 years.

I'm double your age son, and I've been washing and shining cars since before you were born, but that is irrelevant, because you are an adult. I'll admit, you're prolly a real smart kid, but there is absolutely no need to be talking down upon to other forum members.

I would ask for an apology, but I really doubt that will happen.

    Enjoy your "family friendly forum"

No worries bud. Those replies were a bit harsh and a bit tasteless in my opinion. Either way, I hope if anything else needs to be said, I get a PM so the OP's thread doesn't get closed on account of distilled water costs, lol.

    OK.

    First off, calm down.
Second, buy a dictionary and use it.
Third, not many people have equipment at their houses to produce distilled water, so you would then have to go out and buy it (fact).

Now for more facts: Last time I checked, buying distilled water from the store wasn't free (nor equipment to produce distilled water). Therefore, if you have to buy that in addition to the QD, you are spending more money where it isn't needed. To re-iterate that into another phrase, it WILL cost more to use distilled water in addition to something where it isn't needed, like I said. QD works just fine on it's own. I'm sure many can back that up as well, in addition to myself.

I'm not sure how asking me if I like berating people has anything to do with the fact that if you must go out and spend more money on something, that it will cost more. As far as me undermining you, I fail to see how when I give my opinion that I am even undermining you, and you not doing the same in return with what you have said? Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I'm entitled to an opinion, but I'll be darned if I post an opinion that undermines somebodys integrety, especially if the opinion has no factual basis. In this case, I was clearly undermined. The comment that I am refering to has no factual basis.

I come on here to point out a fact, and you seem to have the desire to back up this nonsense. The fact is, you have nothing to do with the comment in question. Furthermore, this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic, or the forum for that matter, so I don't see the need for your comments here.

    Thank You

Well, I just re-waxed the car with a foam pad (It's a Corrado and rather small) I then let it sit overnight removed with a fresh towel in the morning and bada-bing! No problems! I think I previously removed it too early... Thanks for the assistance guys!!
