  • What kind of finish will M95 leave?

For those of you who read my other post I almost really messed up my mom's finish with M01. Now, I will ask what M95 will do.

From my understanding, M95 uses both DAT and SMAT and was wondering what kind of finish it would leave. I am getting ready to order some stuff for a graduation gift from ADS and M95 is almost half the price of M105. Sice I am already getting the G110V2 with six pads, I am trying to conserve some money for the people buying me my cart full of stuff.

    Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

I believe #95 is rotary only....

I think #105 will be what you want for a strong product, or UC.

I thought that might be the problem. Thanks Murr. Great advice as always.

M95 was developed to be a very strong compound primarily for pulling out sanding marks with a rotary buffer. Don't use it with a D/A.

Pick up some Ultimate Compound from our consumer line for use with your G110v2. It is derived from M105 but in a more user friendly formulation. There is much less dust and a much longer buffing cycle with a D/A than M105 will give you. UC will give you more cut than virtually Mirror Glaze product designed for use with a D/A polisher, and it leaves a very nice finish.

If you want to see what a total novice can accomplish with UC on a D/A, even on very hard paint, take a look at A noob + D/A + Ultimate Compound + hard paint = Success!!

FYI, looks like ADS is running a 25% off sale this week on their top ten items, including M105 and M205. That means a 32 oz. bottle of M105 would be $24.75 (instead of $32.99) and a 32 oz. bottle of M205 would be $22.50 (instead of $29.99). The Soft Buff 2.0 polishing pads and finishing pads are 25% off as well (sold individually, not in the 6-pack). Supreme Shines are 25% off as well. And don't forget, you get free shipping over $150. This might be the week to make your order!
