  • mixing 21 and 26 together?

    Hey Guys,
has anyone tried mixing both of these product together in a bottle and then applying? How did it turn out?
love the lustre of 26 and the durability of 21 so just thinking out loud ...
regardless i am going to try pretty soon once my AutoGlym HD wear off.

Why wouldn't you just apply #21 and then top it with #26???

Nevertheless, this sounds like an interesting test!

Make sure you upload pics when you give it a shot!

I think it is best to use the two separately and not mix them together. I dont think you are going to get the results you are looking for. Its not as easy as mixing the two together and ending up with a product what looks like M26 and durable as M21.

When you mix a Ferrari with a monster truck you dont get a lifted Ferrari with 4 large wheels with super swampers. You get a retarded Ferrari front end with a rear truck bed and with 4 swampers and 4 Ferrari wheels.

Point is, you not only mix the good parts together but also the bad parts.

The Meguiars chemists did not intend for these two products to be mixed in such a fashion therefore I would leave them separate. Unless it says that they can be mixed, I would not do it.

I would say no to mixing the products. The products are not mixed by the chemists for a reason. I would just put down a coat of 21. Then come back with a coat of 26.

i know the preferred method is one over the other but if you really think they both somehow bond together even when applied separately so who's to say they wouldn't bond in the same way?

I wish i had a panel i could play with to see what the end result would look like

anyone out there want to try it out?

You might be altering the luster of the 26 that you love. This post refers to a "beauty wax".

On second thought, I am going to go with the above.

I would use the products as intended by the chemists after I experimented with the appearance.

You don't know the long term effects and wouldn't want to gamble with your clear coat.

As the others have said throw down some 21 and then put a layer of 26on top of it! I love that combo!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                  I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                  Remove swirls my friends.
