its always best to start with the least aggressive method first if you have both do a test spot and see which does a better job.

A test spot is always a good idea, especially when debating between a couple of products. Side by side, give both D151 and SwirlX a try and see which performs better for you.

Neither product itself will induce fresh scratches or swirls, but your applicator or towel may. Working with a D/A buffer you would use a foam polishing pad like the W8207 for either SwirlX or D151. Either cleaner can be followed by M07 and NXT, but again, make sure you're using the right pad for application. M07 and NXT should be applied using seperate W9207 pads on the D/A, or by hand using foam applicators.

Yes, those are the correct product/pad combinations.

Like I said the scratches and swirls are very light and few at that. Scared about inducing scratches any thoughts?
Would the wax/protection in D151 cause an issue for the M07 glaze?

If there's an issue of any kind it would only be that the best use of M07 - ie, the maximum effect/result - is directly on the paint itself. But can you apply M07 over D151? Yes, but just be sure to then put a wax over the M07, as usual.

I work part time at a Toyota dealership, and our detailer uses 151 most of the time on used cars. On bad cars he uses a wool pad first and then a foam pad. On new cars they use a spray wax , but if it needs it they may use 151 by hand. It also works great by hand .

                  Re: M205 VS D151 Comparison

I am heading to the store today to pick up some new products and have a question. Currently if I am only washing/waxing someones car I use some cleaner wax (mother's brand don't hate too much, just using up old supplies). If I am doing a full detail I use NXT or some wolf gang wax.

So, would D151 be "best" for me? How long does the protection last on average compared to a cleaner wax? Does meguiars make a all in 1 that lasts longer? I am not using the cleaner wax for much defect removal like swirls but more for water spots and stuff like that....I was also looking to get some wither m20 or m21 today.

Also, D151 vs M20. Which yields a better look? And also length of protection. I can't give customers I already have a product that lasts like half the time the nxt or cleaner wax did ya know?

M20 will last substantially longer, but M20 only has light cleaners in it. D151 would have the ability to remove more defects. If your paint is in good shape, M20 would probably do well. If it needs some swirl removal, I'd look at D151. D151 is more economical for large detailing operations.

Well I'm not really looking for a swirl remover really since that would make people not want to pay for a full detail.
