Re: Last Touch as Clay Lubricant?

Overall, Last Touch is the BEST (by far) in terms of performance and price ratio. I have used Quik Detailer, NXT Speed Detailer, Final Inspection, UQD, Final Touch, and Turtle Wax ICE.

Even at full strength, Last Touch is still a very cheap solution as a clay lubricant. After being diluted, it is very cost effective.

I often find myself struggling at using one bottle of Quik Detailer at most on a normal sized car. And Instant Detailers of any brand even with Department Stores Discount are not cheap.

Last Touch has the highest lubricity of any Meg's detailer spray, hence it is recommended (officially) to dilute 1:1 for clay lube.

Quik Detailer is recommended to be used at full strength. Is it possible you could make it work diluted? sure, but it wasn't intended to be used that way.

Not necessarily. Where did you hear that it is similar to Quik Detailer?

Since Last Touch is extremely similar to Quik Detailer...

So in theory, Quik Detailer could also be diluted when claying?

Last touch is a widely used product as a clay lubricant. I also noticed it does not always have to be used with the 1:1 ratio. I like to use 4:1 when claying so it does not waste so much last touch.

Last Touch is a perfect clay lubricant. You should dilute it 1:1 with distilled water, that way there are no mineral deposits or water spots left on your car from the LT.

LT is a great clay lube just because it is so economical.

    Last Touch as Clay Lubricant?

Could Last Touch be used as a clay lubricant? Can it be diluted? If so, should it need be?

I cannot find Quik Detailer in the gallon size or at bulk discounts, but Last Touch is easily available for a very reasonable price.
