Today I found some M9816 Medallion Premium Paint Protectant at an auto parts store. I've never used Medallion products before. I know they are discontinued due to VOC's. Can anyone tell me to compare this to and what to expect for durability?

Re: Found some Medallion Premium Paint Protectant
MPPP was one of Meguiar's most durable sealants. It uses cationic bonding, which is the strongest of all chemical bonds. It also has some anti-static properties. It provides a nice high gloss too.
As for durability, in my experience MPPP would last through most of an Indiana winter. It is easy to apply in hot and humid weather, but takes quite some time to haze over in very cold weather (below 50 degrees F).

Re: Found some Medallion Premium Paint Protectant
pretty much any wax can be put on with a DA and if memory serves, M21 can be applied with a rotary. And yes a finishing pad.
It's personal preference. I like to apply by hand.....
How's the wax? The ones I found at PBE stores were extremely watery and I figured that all of the waxes should have at least a lotion type consistancy to them.....
Good find!

However, I was told by Megs customer service that the product can still be used in that (watery) state.r. b.

That's good to know, in my travels and searching the Meguiar's databank, found a lot of Medallion series....
Now when I go back, I may take a gander!

I might go back next week and grab a couple more claybars and MPPP. I couldn't believe the price on UQD. Last time I was there I found some W8006 pads for $5. It's like a Megs treasure chest.
Wished I could find a place like that.r. b.
