  • APC vs. APC+

So why would I choose one over the other? I understand that APC+ does not foam but APC does, what would be the advantage of one vs. the other? I planned on buying APC because the foaming action seems like it would make it a better cleaner.

    Help me out here guys?

APC Plus has a hint of degreaser in it. I have and use APC and it has handled every task I have thrown at it.

The lack of foaming action in APC+ makes it ideal for use in carpet extractors and I prefer the lower foaming formula because it allows me to see the surface being worked on clearly but it's probably more of a preference thing.

So its very likely that APC should suffice and that it would not be completely necessary to order APC+ too? Or vice-versa?

Yeah, shouldnt really need both at the same time.

Though ADS does sell sample sizes.

So which one should I pick? If its one or the other which would be preferable?

Well, personally I wish the foaming product had the degreaser. Of course it might be the degreaser that kills the foam, I dunno.

But I guess it just comes down to if you will be using an extractor or not? If you will be using it to degrease things or not? And if you want a foam that can cling to some surface or not?

I kind of like the foam with the foaming head sprayer for tires and wheelwells, seems to help. But I dont really detail engines where more degreasing might be wanted.

I don't see why it would, degreasers like Purple Power foam when agitated...

I will not, god only know when I will be able to get one. I will probably buy a gallon of degreaser a little bit more down the line, until then Purple Power will have to do. I figure foam would be nice for carpet cleaning, tires, wheel wells and vinyl. I'm trying to figure out what I won't want foam for... I know I will find it once I decide not to buy it.

I hate degreasing engines, I am always terrified that I will get water in all the wrong parts even after I spray a water displacement spray specifically formulated for wires and cover everything that concerns me with foil.

                    Re: APC vs. APC+

                    I have and use both.....

                    APC+ for carpets.....

APC for mild cleaning of engine bays and door jambs etc

                    Your choice......

I think they are both equal in cleaning power, APC+ formula has pretty much foamless action for extractors or cleaning upholstery and carpets and it does great on other cleaning.....

I don't use a lot of cleaners on my own stuff, so, a gallon of both lasts me a long time and I have a spray bottle of APC+ under the kitchen sink for the wife for spills on our carpet.

Get a sample of both and see what you like.

                      Re: APC vs. APC+

APC plus is great for carpets. I picked up a 5 gallon just untouched off a guy that was closing up shop so I have enough to last me a life time.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.
