  • Gotta love #105

My friends Audi A6 Avant -08 needed little TLC since it had spended it's first year as a rental car in Germany. Nice car 3.0 TDI Quattro with tiptronic, S-line package and almost all goodies except tv and dvd.

Overall paint was in good condition except boot lid. First I tried #83 with DA and cutting pads and hard VAG-paint just laughed to it.

I have older version of #105 and this is result after one hit with Kevin Brown method: DA-machine (Biltema cyclocopy) with cutting pads

    Wow, that's literally a 'Dual'-action polisher.

    2005 Ford Ranger XLT

Detailers clean places nobody see. Detailer see's things nobody else see. But if you ask a Detailer to see how a dress looks on a woman, they are blind.

I love this stuff too! I am still a little confused as to just exactly what Kevin Brown's method really is however. Looking at your pads with product on them, they don't look primed with product as I understood the method to require. When I prime a pad I really put the product to it and use a towel to soak up excess, put a dab more on it or on the paint and buff with Flex on 5 to see how it cuts, adding more product as necessary or spritzing with a little water once M105 starts to flash. Final "bring up the gloss" is done on speed 3 with same product used for defect removal. Is this how to use the Kevin Brown method correctly?

Has his finished "paper" reached this forum or other places on the net yet? Are there any videos anywhere of him in progress? Inquiring minds want to know.

That's how I have been doing it and it has worked very well with M105, M95, and even M205

Pads were primed with detailer. When #105 started to dry I spritzed water intoworked area. It gives really long working time for #105.

For me KB-method is spritzing water. I don't believe into priming pads with #105. #105 spreads evenly into pad when you spread it into car (My english is bit rusty but I hope you understand what I mean).

Afterall what you can do with this stuff especially with hard german paints is awesome.
