  • PlastX vs. #10 and #17?

What is the difference between PlastX and M10/M17? I spotted M10 and M17 at O'Reilly today for $7.49 apiece and just wondered if there was any advantages or anything like that to them. I didn't see #18 Clear Plastic Detailer. Obviously there has to be some sort of difference, otherwise why would there be 3 products vs. 1? I've used PlastX - great product. To anyone who has used both PlastX and M10/M17 or just M10/M17, what are your thoughts on this?

Plastic X is an all in one. It cleans and polishes...

M17 is a non abrasive cleaner, that you would use on well maintaned surfaces. It also leaves a static free surface...

The M10 would be used on neglected surfaces that need abrasive polishing.

This is how I understand it anyway.

I have yet to need any of these. I find 205/105 or 80/83 work well on plastics as well.

Think I just answered these same questions last week in a thread, I'll see if I can find my post on the topic. For the most part if you're just working on your car then PlastX should be able to tackle most of what you need to work on.

M10 is a non-abrasive, pure polish to maintain clear plastics.
M17 is a light cleaner/polish for very fine swirls and scratches.
M18 is a quick detailer for plastic surfaces.

So, if I already have PlastX, is it redundant to get M10 and M17?
