  • Ive sinned using #84 + PC

Hi, I know I know...but #83 just wasnt cutting it so i tried #84 and then used #83 to get out the hazing then used #9 to finish it. Looks great! Am i missing something here? Not to mention the dusting is about 10x as easy to get off it just blows right off instead of sticking like #83. I know it designed for the rotary but i just work it for about 8 mins on a 2x2 area. Is it not recomended for the PC due to the hazing that the avg person might get with it? #83 cleans it right up for me. Any thoughts?

I want to see the results you obtained.. So, it was a good improvement over when you used #83 with the PC even though the diminishing abrasives didn't fully break down? Have you tried using #84 with a cutting pad to increase the cleaning action?

Ill get pics as soon as i can Mike,I agree Bri Im using the orange Sonus cutting pad and working it for about 8 to 10 minutes @ speed 6. I think its actually breaking it down except on the edges of the polished area where the abrasive doesnt get worked good, you can see the hazing out line of the area you worked, which I kinda liked because it "framed" the area worked. Then i just used 83 and worked the same area but slightly larger. Then hit it with #9. But like Mike said in my other post I can see where you could get in a mess if you dont keep track of where the hazing is taking place. Mike my thinking , which may show my ignorance! ..is that the initial bite from the #84 is really all i need due the fact that #83 can finish breaking down itself an clean what #84 left behind. This sound right? Basically i dont need #84 to completely break down. Am I wrong here? thx
