  • M40

I picked up some M40 today at a local place. I have to say I think this is going to be my new go to interior dressing. I have some hyper dressing, and the m40 just seems so much better to me (hyper dressing 4:1). Now for the smell...Hyper Dressing smells, well, fruity. M40 has a more sophisticated smell.

Now I'm wondering how long M40 would last on tires and exterior items.

    Re: M40

i have gotten M40 to last two or three washes on exterior trim. I usually apply M40 once a month and every two weeks i apply Natural Shine or Supreme Shine Protectant.

I have not tried it on tires though.

M40 is a water-based product so it's not going to last as long as a solvent-based product in our line.

M40 also is a cleaner/conditioner and has some pretty good cleaning ability whereas I don't think Hyper-Dressing is really intended to be used on neglected surfaces that need to be cleaned.

Good combo to have as then you can pick the right product for the job.

          Re: M40

I'm not sure how one describes the smell of M40, but I've been smelling it a lot the past two days. Here's my story.

On Wednesday evening I decided that I'd use M40 to clean the interior vinyl and plastic. I like the matte look it leaves on the dashboard. When I finished this I remembered that I had also wanted to try my new can of Sprayway on the interior windshield. Yes, I know I should have done the windshield first, but I forgot. Blame it on dead brain cells!

Anywho, I went into the house and grabbed the can of Sprayway, leaving the M40 in its place. When I sprayed the Sprayway on the windshield, it also went all over the dashboard. So I ran into the house and grabbed the M40 and re-cleaned the dashboard. I then went back inside and proceeded to return the M40 to the cupboard. At that moment I saw the M40 already sitting in the cupboard. I looked down at the tan bottle in my hands and saw a bottle of M34! I switched bottles and rushed back out to the car and re-cleaned, yet again, the dashboard, this time with the real M40.

          Such is my life!

Ok, so M40 for the inside and All Season Dressing for the outside?

Does Meg's still offer M40 in the 5-gallon size? All the places I have looked say its not in stock, and have for a long time.

You will love how M40 leaves the surface. I really like that "new look" it leaves, it's just amazing, really doesn't matter if it's new or old, it does it's job very well

M40 leaves it looking the way I expected it to look, its great. Defiantly more dirt on the applicator than when I used Hyper Dressing.

It's only available in 16 ounce bottles and 1-gallon jugs, don't remember ever seeing M4005 as a part number?

I'll probably buy some ASD after I use up all the dressing I have now...how did I end up with so many? Oh yeah, they were free from friends.

M40 is awsome! I bought some a while back for $4 on closeout. I use it on interior and wheels. looks great on my tires and it washes off with no gummy residue and doesnt flatten my soap! Great stuff.

I love M40, I also use ASD, GC trim detailer and S-Dressing (older solvent based Detailer Line) and Natural Shine. The Neon loves ASD, the Yukon likes GCTD and I use M40 on the interior of both with Natural Shine thrown in there time to time. I use M40 on the engine bay as well as Engine Kote (older Detailer line product).

Too many options! Haven't tried HD yet.
