Does Megs Hyper Dressing dry or stay wet?

Thinking about picking up some hyper dressing and need to know if it dries to a coating or stats wet to a degree? I'm thinking it might be the dilution ratio but want to find out for sure before buying. I'd prefer a drying product for under the hood.

I am confused in what your question is exactly.
I have Hyper Dressing in 1:1 dilution for tires, wheel wells ,trim, and engine.
It works great, and leaves a nice wet finish behind.
I have never heard of a product that stays wet.
I believe Hyper Dressing Dries, but do not take my word for it.
Hopefully other people chime in.

For instance like CD-2 engine detailer 'hardens' for a better word maybe, versus how armorall tire foam stays kind of wet or greasy and doesn't dry to a coating.

I'm not speaking of a 'wet' look or shiny, but actually wet/greasy to the touch kind of thing that will attract dust.

None of the Meguiars dressings harden...

I tend to wipe off excess when I apply the dresings, and that seems to leave a non-greasy finish.

On my truck the rear bumper is the only thing that gets dusty when it first gets a trim detailed.

I think it dries.

What about ASD or other non water based dressings? I have some coming, and I was under the impression that it leaves more of a hard finsish (unaffected by rain and washing) opposed to hyperdressing and the like...

Not to hijack the thread, but I am torn between buying a sample of Hyper vs. GC Trim. Durability length is key in my decision, as I wash cars a lot. What do you guys think?

Meguiar's made a product called Engine Kote (D43) that supposedly hardened, but it's been discontinued for some time.

All Season Dressing is solvent based and will last through the rain.


Silicone based tire gels last a long time on exterior trim pieces. Before I switched to ASD, I used Hot Shine gel quite often. Personally, I thought the tire gels lasted a lot longer than the GC Trim Detailer.
