  • D151: Sealant or Wax?

I've searched and done a ton of reading, because I know this has been asked before, I just couldn't find the answer.

The LSP in D151... is it a sealant or a wax?

I believe it's considered a selant (synthetic) but don't expect months of protection. It's still a 1-step geared for high volume work.

Thanks! Yeah, I just wanted to know so I could top it with a compatible LSP.

      Thanks again, Rasky!

Just checked and here's the official answers.

D151 uses a blend of both Carnauba and Synthetic protection ingredients.

By using a blend of different ingredients you get the benefits and features of multiple ingredients, not just a single ingredient.

        Does that help?

I'm not 100% on it so wait for someone else to chime in. I'd say if you plan to top it you'd be better off using M205 or something similar as a 1-step cleaner though.

Oh, for sure... I just needed this info for testing purposes. I don't think I'd ever put an additional LSP over 151 on a customer's car, but I'm very curious how it would work/look/last just for grins.

LOL! That's what I said too everytime I used D151! I always ended up doing it though.
