  • Questions about 205 & 105

So I've been away for awhile and I've been hearing all about these two new polishes and how well they perform.

I use to be a big Menzerna user and while they do a great good of paint correction they are indeed very messy. I've recently starting using the Optimum line of polishes and have been pleasantly surprised with their performance and lack of dusting.

My question about 205 & 105 are do they dust and if so how bad? Is clean up similar to older Meg's polishes?

    thanks for the help all.

Well the "old" formula or M105 it's a little dusty, the "new" one (the DA approved) has just a little to almost none I would say. Easy to work with and easy to remove (when worked correctly)

M205 it's not dusty, you keep your pads clean and you won't see any. Easy to apply and work with and easier to remove

Then I'll make this easy...M105 cuts harder and finishes better than Menzerna SIP while M205 cuts slightly less and finishes about the same as Menzerna Nano. Neither M105 nor M205 dust much if at all when used properly.

And that's the key, used properly.

After your pad breaks in, either by adding fresh product the first few times when you're first starting out or by using the KB Method of first working some product evenly into and over the face of your pad, you shouldn't have any dusting problem as long as you're using the product correctly.

I've seen some people try to use too little product and then run into problems with a number of things like dusty, gumming up and hard wipe-off, so keep in mind you want the AMPLE amount on the surface for the area you're working so you're never buffing dry.

            There's this too...

Just finished today with the 105/205 combo. Did not experience any dusting.

I am talking about the da approved 105.
