  • Difference on detail sprays...

Can someone please explain the difference between the following:

    1. Mirror Glaze Synthetic Spray detailer #135, Final inspection #34?

    2. Is UQD the same as Final inspection?

    3. What is the difference between #66 Quick detailer and UQD?

    Thank you!

    Re: Difference on detail sprays...

M135 and UQD are pretty much the same as they both are mist and wipe products and have Hydrophobic Polymer Technology. Their main purpose is for maintaining your car by removing daily dust and fingerprintes and/ or smudges

#34 Final Inspection on the other hand is body shop safe and can be used to remove daily dust and fingerprints as well.

#66 Quick Detailer is an AIO product as it cleans, polishes, and protects in one easy step, it is a fairly aggressive cleaner wax.

Just to repeat, #66 is not a "spray and wipe" product, it is a cleaner/wax.

Thanks for the speedy replies! However, which one do you use when claying?

yea ive had issues with this,

so ok, everyone knows that nxt 2.0 and synthetic sealant 2.0 are the same,
so now its logical to say that synthetic spray detailer #135 & UQD are the same
Quik Detailer is a lower cost detailer than UQD/#135

i get all that, but now whats the difference between Last Touch in the detailer line and Final Inspection #34 in the mirror glaze line?

i know they are both in differing lines, catering for differing purposes as the detailer line is higher volume & suited for mass detailing (one can say) to the mirror glaze line, but what are the real differences aside of colour and smell?

M34 is unique in our line and unique among most of the mist and wipe products on the market in that it's Body Shop Safe, that is it's formulated for use in body shops where fresh paint is being sprayed. It contains no ingredients that could cause surface adhesion problems should it get onto a car or panel being prepped for paint, for example overspray drifting in the air).

Last Touch, nor any of our other mist and wipe products and again, probably most of the mist and wipe products on the market unless they are made by a company that also manufactures products for the re-finishing industry, are not Body Shop Safe.

For claying, M34, QD or Last Touch would be the recommended products. Typically, Last Touch, especially at the recommended 1:1 dilution for claying, would be the cheapest option. It's what I use and it works quite well.

Is there a way to purchase regular QD in bulk (gallon size, etc.)?

Also, is there a defination on "fresh paint"? Would 4 month old re-spray be condsidered as fresh paint?

i would think M34 in the gallon size would be the closet to QD

                          Re: Difference on detail sprays...

I regularly switch between #135 and Last touch. I always have a spray bottle prepared with the 1:1 dilution of the Last Touch. This is all I use for claying.

Ive found Speed Detailer a pretty good clay lube as well, it has a more thicker consistency and i liked it when i used it to clay one time.
