What products to use?

I just purchased my first PC 7424, and need some help from you gurus!!!

I have a dark blue truck, with a clearcoat finish. I'm wondering what pads to use, and what cleaners, polishes, waxes to use on my truck!!!

Any help would be great!!!

Get two yellow pads and two finishing pads. Buy the new DA approved M105, M205, and #21 2.0. That should about cover it as far as your DA goes. Make sure you also have some blue clay and a good wash like Gold Class or NXT. Lastly you will want some nice microfibers.

I agree with jmakado. I use that combo on my car and it works awesome. Just be reminded that not all compound/polish/pad combos work well on every car, each paint system is different. M205 micromarred my motorcycle pretty bad no matter what pad or pressure I used. So don't be discouraged if those don't work for you, but they are are great way to start and hopefully they will work perfectly fine for you.

Well we first need to know what condition it is in, and what results you are looking to achieve.

Some people want and expect true 100% perfection, and others realize 90%~ is good enough for a daily driver.

Once you answer those questions I'll give you my humble opinion

its in good condition, some swirl marks on it, getting hte bottom few inches of it painted with some sort of a 'rockguard' going under the paint.

Looking for 90% perfection, something I can do every 6 to 8 weeks to keep it shiny, and maintain it with either instant detailer or possibly waxing it every couple weeks if its easy enough to do. I wash it two to three times a week...

Well, if it is in good shape then I would suggest some M205 and a polishing yellow pad, followed possibly (judgment call by you) by M205 with a finishing pad.

Then I would suggest two thin coats of NXT 2.0 (or M21 2.0), giving at least an hour of time between coats.

I would suggest full strength Last Touch followed by UQD for your instant detailing routines.

The new Ultimate Quik Wax would be a good thing to use maybe once a week, or after each wash if you want (might be overkill 3 times a week, though).

I was in your position couple months ago. I would suggest some M80 and work from there.
Here is the route i would suggest.
(dont forget to clay before polish!)
M80 with a foam finishing pad
M07 with a finishing pad
and 2 thin coats of either gold class wax or NXT 2.0 wax
