  • 151 versus 66?

I'm a fan of D151. Great product, especially for those customer who want some correct, some protection, but don't want to spend a lot. I went through a lot this summer.

My question is, where does 66 stack up against 151? I know this will be a question for those who have used both. I am just looking to keep one of the products in my arsenal, and while I feel I will stick with D151, I would like some input.

    Thanks so much.

Great question, I would like to hear input on this as well from those who have used both.

I have used both and in my opinion, D151 is much better than M66. I think it leaves a nicer finish and has more cut. D151 seems to leave a darker, clearer finish than M66.

I would definitely go for D151!!

        Ryan pretty much nailed it

D151 is more aggressive than M66 and you get a bit darker / clearer finish with D151.

I like both, and feel that both belong in the detailing arsenal. M66 is very easy to use with no dusting, and it comes in very handy with delicate paints.

While they are very similar, each works better for something. All paints are different and there is no one polish for all paints.

            Hi Brett,

D151 uses our super micro abrasive technology, and M66 uses diminishing abrasives, this is another primary difference in the two products, the type of abrasives used.

There's a thread on this topic in Hot Topics and there's a thread on our Super Micro Abrasives in Hot Topics.

Thanks to all for the feedback. What a great community! I've really started to clean out my detailing supplies, and for the most part, I'm only using Meg's. I absolutely cannot wait for all of the new products. Already put aside the cash to buy them all!

Here's the links to the two threads mentioned above...

What is the difference between M66 and D151?

What's the difference between Meguiar's Super Micro Abrasive technology and Meguiar's Diminishing Abrasive technology?
