  • M16 & m26

If you were presented with two black cars identical in every way but with one exception--namely, one was waxed with M16 and the other with M26--do you think you could tell the difference? If yes, how would you describe this difference?

    Cheers,

The M26 side will tend to be darker or richer in color.

Darn, that now means I also have to buy a bottle (or should I get the paste?) of M26, too. But that will have t wait until the spring. Through the winter months, Luthien and I are sticking with NXT.

But come the spring, it will be time to do something different--perhaps a M80/M07/M16 combination or a M80/NXT/M26 combination or a M80/M81/M26 combination or something like that. This should be fun.

      I welcome suggestions.

But my fear is that I do not have the discriminatory vision to tell the difference between all the waxes. I have the same problem when presented with blind tastings of wines. I always seem to prefer the least expensive wines. A member of the aristotocracy, whether it be cooking or detailing, I am not! As much as I may be drawn to elite or boutique products, I always end up being just an ordinary guy. I also love single malt scotch, but once again, I know I cannot really distinguish between the popular ones and the more expensive elite ones. Such is my sad life of mediocrity. So sad.

      Cheers,
      Al
