New 2.0 pads......

I see these are out of stock at ADS and not on Meg's site.

Who has used them and who likes/dislikes them?
Are there any plans for smaller sizes?
Do they work well with the G110 being 7"s?

Been told they will be shipping after SEMA/NACE

They are being re-launched with our other new products for 2009

Have you or others there at Meg's used them personally???
I'd like to know your opinions on them.

I got a 6.5 8006 with my returned G110 and I used it today. It was the first time I've used a Meg's pad in 2.5 years. It was amazing! So smooth and cleaned up easy. I'd like to know about the 2.0s before I think about ordering more of the older ones.

It's all we use at our Thursday Night classes and our Saturday Classes...

These guys are using our new pads... this was just this last Saturday...














With our G110 they work great because it has more power than the Porter Cable units...

We have a laundry hamper in the garage and when the class is over we place them in the hamper and during the week we wash them in the washing machine in the Training Room.

Dang Mike! You ask and you shall receive!

Being able to wash the pads in the machine is awesome as it the recessed area for lining up the backing plate.

I swear you have a different hair style every time you post a picture Mike

I saw your car washing video forever ago and had NO idea it was you until recently when I watched it again because the different hair makes such a big difference. You crack me up!

I only have one of the polishing pads but I really like it. Meguiar's pads have always been my favorite foam. The new backing looks like it's going to last and put up with a lot more abuse.

I have the new pads, haven't used the W7207 but the finishing and polishing ones are great, what I really like about them is that because they are bigger and the backing plate stays the same size you can lift the DA a little and the pad will bend so on tight places that's something I see very nice and the fact that you just can put them on the washing machine is a big thing for me

This may sound dumb, but...

Can I use the same Meg's backing plate with the new 2.0 pads? That is, do I need a larger backing plate, or with the backing plate that I use with the 1.0 pads work with the 2.0 pads?

The older DA backing plates will work with the 2.0 pads.

However, the W64 plate for the rotary must have the centering button removed.
