I have on '05 Black Super Crew w/50k.
I clayed it wanted to use #9, to freshen it up and fill in some of
    the deeper scraches.
I undestand #9 has good filling (solids) charcharistics.
I ASSume I would bypass the normal DC chemicial cleaner.
but would I also skip #7 and go to NXT or 26 paste

Yes, #7 would not be needed.

#9 is a very mild cleaner/polish, so Deep Crystal #1 would not be needed either.

Maybe to a test section to half the hood with the products you end up using and see what kind of results you get before going over the entire truck.

      Post back here your results.

sorry to hijack, but is #9 actually a filler or does it rid the paint of the defects? and is it capable of being a last step before the wax/sealing step on a black car or should another product be used to further enhance the shine? sorry for the seemingly dumb question just confused by the original post.

          Check out these threads:

          M09 & M80 Equivalent?

#82 Swirl Free Polish vs #9 Swirl Remover

          What's the difference between #9 #82 and #80

M09 is the mildest of Meguiar's cleaner/polishes. From what I have read, it effectively removes deep swirls only if it is used with a rotary polisher. But it can still clean and condition the paint and remove minor swirls if applied by a D/A polisher.

If you need a stronger polish, then you need to get a stronger polish. Meguiar's has several candidates: M80, M83, SwirlX, Ultimate Compound, M105.
Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.
