  • Last Touch & Concentrated Glass Cleaner Review & Question

Well, today I received my BIG ADS order. I was so excited. Two big boxes.

Two items included was a gallon of glass cleaner concentrate and a gallon of Last Touch.

First, Last Touch, it seemed under-filled. Much lower than you'd think and much lower than the glass cleaner. Anyone notice that before? Feel like I lost some of it or something.

Anyway, the smell is so strong. I sit here smelling it inside after all this time, since I was out with it. ha-ha. I don't really like the smell. I only used it on my old car, but it works nicely. It is so slick feeling. I agree it seems safer to use with cleaning dust than say UQD, but the smell I do'nt really like. I'll keep using it for the old car though, until it runs out. Fine product, but the smell is a bit over the top. So strong. Oh, the bottles and sprayers seem fine though. People complain, but I have no problem with the sprayer.

Next, the glass cleaner, also very strong smelling. I mixed up two bottles with distliled water, and it seems to work very good, but I will test tomorrow going into the sun, to see if it is as good as NXT, but doesn't smell as good that is for sure.

Also, I fill the distilled water to the marker line as said, and then put the concentrate on top, but how far to the top? I did it almost all the way to the top, just the slightest bit of comfortable room, to put the sprayer in, smart move? Did I do that correctly?

The glass cleaner is such a keeper for the price, but again so strong. I feel bad for the detailers that use these all day. ha-ha.

Overall, exciting products, but not the smell I was used to from Meguiar's.

Also, hope you guys can answer my couple questions.

I can't wait to use these more tomorrow though. I bet I like them even more then!

Man that *****. That means I put way more cleaner than needed. That just doesn't seem like 10 percent of the bottle.

Will having it go up the neck a ways hurt anything until I make new bottles? I don't want to dump them out cause the water in them costs more than the cleaner. ha-ha!!

You might have lost some last touch in shipping. I never had this problem from ADS. If the Last touch aroma is to much for you, Maybe mixing it a 1:1 ratio, like you use for claying will cut the aroma down to make it bearable for you.But I am sure anything is possible. You should be okay with the glass cleaner. You just have a stronger solution for now.

I actually like the smell of Last Touch! I've been using it for years know and I like it. As far as the Glass Cleaner goes, I use the aerosol cans from the detailer line and they smell good too. Definitely not stronger smelling when cramped in a vehicle using it. I wonder how different the concentrated stuff smells?

Re: Last Touch & Concentrated Glass Cleaner Review & Question

            Thanks guys.

I used some more last touch today, way out in the open air again, and it is giving me headaches and affecting my breathing a bit. ha-ha!!!

I better be careful with it. I think I'll have some friends dilute it like you guys suggest, since I don't want to be around during the dilution process. ha-ha.

The glass cleaner seems really good. I think it doesn't bother me like Last Touch.

It was really fun to get this order though.

Both are two fantastic products with the perfect smell that should be in everyones detailing cabinets, and kept in the trunk or behind the seats for those quick touch-up's.

I have to agree, I like the smell of both of these products. Never had a issue with either.

Re: Last Touch & Concentrated Glass Cleaner Review & Question

I'm really going to have to stop using Last Touch. I'm really sick feeling, when I use it. Not complaining though. It works fine. I never expected to have the smell of a Meguiar's product bother me, but in this case, it does.

How does Final Inspection compare in smell? I might need a gallon of it instead.

Glass cleaner continues to amaze me in value. That stuff is something, and it's smell I'm ok with, it doesn't make me sick.

Re: Last Touch & Concentrated Glass Cleaner Review & Question

If the Last Touch is still bothering you @ 50/50, give the M135 (synthetic hydrophobic pro detailer) a try. You can't use it to clay, but it is the best spray detailer I've ever used, beads water like mad and not much of a scent. Sticking my nose in a gallon, it only has a light perfume/berry/fruity smell. Dust just blows off the car after a coat of M135. If I recall, it is the pro-line equivalent of UQD (don't know if they smell the same).

Re: Last Touch & Concentrated Glass Cleaner Review & Question

Just out of curiosity, Can I use Last Touch to aid in drying my car then follow with my NXT wax? or do I need to do something to remove the LT before applying NXT?

Also, QD is advertised as a good product to use between waxings. So is M135. Both are said to "enhance protection between waxings" Does LT do the same or is it simply a "cleaner" to remove dust and fingerprints?

                          Thanks!

I don't mind the smell of either product. Only problem with the glass cleaner is that it makes me want grape soda.
