This weekend I was detailing my wife's white Honda Accord. The test spot showed that M83 followed by M80 was needed to correct the swirls. In bright sunlight, I saw no evidence of any micro marring so I proceeded with the rest of the car. About midway through the M80 step, my 3 week old G110 just up and died. But, that's another story.
At that point, it was back out in the sunlight and to my amazement, the paint had very little clarity, an almost milky look. I'm assuming what I was seeing was micro marring. Why it didn't show up in my test spot is a mystery. An even bigger mystery is why, using exactly the same products and procedure, my black Accord will come out absolutely beautiful. Crystal clear paint and tons of depth.
I don't have any #9 to see if it will clear things up on the white Accord. But I'm wondering if anyone has successfully gone directly from M83 to #9 with excellent results? M83 did leave a little hazing, but the M80 took it right out. What say the experts?
