I've never used APC thinking...well, I have plenty of detailing products plus household cleaners that I use, why spend more money on APC?
I received 1/2 gallon of APC the other week in a trade of some products with another forum guy and used it yesterday on a detailing for an '02 Explorer.
The grey cladding on the exterior of the Explorer was dirty and dull and had white blotches of old wax from the owner's attempt to wax a year or so ago. The wheels were filthy and the tires were red clay "dyed" in spots even after pressure washing.
I filled a 2 gallon bucket with water, added 2 small glugs of APC and threw my brushes in the bucket. Omigod! It cleaned the wheels, the tires, and the roof rack. I used a small toothbrush-type grout brush on the white wax residue with APC.....gone! I cleaned all exterior plastic with the APC and a rag. There's a black rubber piece running along the bottom of both side of this Explorer and it too had red clay "dye." Gone!
I ended up using the APC on most of the non-metal parts of the car, interior AND interior.
I'm hooked. GREAT stuff.
