Does anyone use the shampoo plus in the detailer line? I get the impression that it is the ultimate wash, or it may be for a special paints. Would this be the way to go or would the other washes in the detailing line be the better option?

Re: Shampoo plus
SP is widely used among detailers (well at least my side here). Good product. Cleans well and smells good. Dilution rate of 128:1. I've used to on many of cars I help detail.
There are other options in the D-line. Hyperwash is another option with great dilution ratio (400:1) Another option might be Supersoap (bubble gum scent) - not so popular though - not sure why.....
Its a personal preferance as to which is suitable for your use. If you want max value for money, you might be interested in HyperWash.
To widen the choice evenmore, under MirrorGlaze line - there #62 - I love to use this also.
But to sum up, all of the car shampoo products are great products to begin with. Sometimes you just need to test them out and find which fits your preferance.

Re: Shampoo plus
Murr, how would you compare #62 to Gold Class? I haven't tried it yet, but was thinking about it.
But back to Shampoo Plus, I love it. In my opinion, it's much better than Hyper-Wash. I think it's a close second to Gold Class, but for the price, you can't beat it.

Re: Shampoo plus
Well, here is my experience, though I have a feeling some of it could be coincidence, such as not knowing the curves/crevices of the new car, etc.
When I used Gold Class, I seemed to get some dirt still on my drying towels. When I used Nxt, it seemed like I had less/no dirt, but of course not the nice look Gold Class leaves.
Then Shampoo Plus was kind of in the middle somewhere.
When I got #62, it seemed like the best of both, nice looks and no/less dirt.
Of course, by this point, I have had the car for about 4 years, so I know the curves and crevices better. Though I still seem to miss a spot sometimes.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Shampoo plus
I just purchased a bottle of Shampoo Plus and it works really great. I just am not sure if I'm using the correct ratio for shampoo plus to water. what does the 128:1 really mean? Didn't mean to hijack the post, but seeing as this is about the same product I thought I would ask it here.

Re: Shampoo plus
The dilution ratio means that for every gallon of water one ounce of shampoo plus is used. Except for Hyper wash this ratio is good. So if your using a 5 gallon bucket, say you have about 4-4.5 gallons of water in it. You would want to use 4-4.5 ounces of the shampoo plus.quality creates its own demand
