  • Cleaning Ability of #21?

Long time lurker... What is the cleaning ability of 21? Currently using nxt 2.0, but would like to try 21 over an acrylic based glaze. Thanks a lot!

Not much.... Nxt 2.0 and #21 2.0 are very similar products I believe.

They are the same with the exception M21 can be applied with a rotary. As for cleaning ability, just enough to help bond to the paint better, i.e.- basically no cleaning ability in terms of actually cleaning the paint.

Neither NXT or M21 is a cleaner/wax, they are intended to be used on paint that is already clean and polished.

As for will it remove some kind of acrylic glaze?

        Who knows?

Our chemists don't do test on chemical compatibility between our products and non-Meguiar's products.

What is the specific acyclic product you're wanting to top with M21?

It written clearly at the back of the bottle:
Eliminates fine scrathes and swirls, creating a flawless finish.

This is correct. Barry chose the word eliminates as the descriptive word to describe the results of using M21 and NXT and that's because it does a great job of visually eliminating very fine swirls and scratches.

"visually" eliminating is different than physically right ?...just because you've eliminated it visually doesn't mean it's physically gone.

on the original formula of #21 and NXT it only says it eliminates swirls, does that mean the original formula removed them where 2.0 only visually eliminates them?

I'm not sure what you're saying the difference is in wording on the first version versus the new 2.0 products.

I looked over your posts on this forum and found a similar question you posted here,

Discussion on Meguiar's Classic, Gold Class, NXT, Ultimate, and Hybrid Ceramic Product Lines

Here's my answer from that thread...

Originally posted by Darren F View Post

No, the word visually was added for more clarification.

Most of your posts seem to be on NXT and M21?

Are you currently using one of these products?

using #21 and NXT 2.0...my issue is that from the wording on #21 it makes it seem as if it eliminates removes them, where on NXT 2.0 it is just making it so you can see them

Nope, these are not abrasive products.

If you want to remove defects then we offer compounds, cleaner/polishes, paint cleaners and cleaner/waxes for that process.
