  • Can you mix #7 with #26?

    Hi,

I was wondering if you can mix #7 with #26 and then use the mixture as a wax?

Someone, on a different forum, was thinking about doing this saying that it would yield a much more shiny and glossier result?

For both the liquid and paste version of #26...

    I would say no!

Polish is not meant to dry and is a wipe on wipe off product as the wax is a wipe on DRY then wipe off.

Best thing to do is to apply the pure polish, wipe off then wax.

I've seen a lot of people ask about mixing products and it's just not a great idea, if Meguiars wanted them mixed, they would have done so already

    I wouldn't recommend it.

Negatory captain. Leave them the way they are.

Very well put! Stick to what Megs says about their products and you'll be just fine. After all, they are the professionals.

I would agree with Aaron on this one. Keep them as it comes

That "someone" sounds a bit lazy if they want to mix 7 & 26 into a single application. As Nappers suggests, you're far better off doing a proper application of #7 and then a proper application of #26. Sure, that's two steps, but both products are so easy to use you may as well do it right.

Don't mix products! Especially wax! If you are concerned about your cars appearence then take the time and follow the directions for best results.

Nappers is right on this. Do not mix the 2 products. To apply #7 it is not that time consuming to begin with,Do it right the first time. Save yourself a whole lot of trouble later on.
