  • What do you use to apply

When using #40 on the interior dash and door panels do you prefer a foam pad, micro fiber pad or microfiber towel?
Can #40 be used on exterior trim and black bumpers like that on a mini?

I prefer a cheap MF towel from Target. One to apply, one to buff off excess.

And yes, fine for the exterior also.

I use a 100% cotton terry towel to wipe on and wipe off. #40 won't last all that long on the exterior black vinyl. I use Gold Class Trim Detailer for that and it works wonders.

My preference is to apply with a foam pad and buff off with a MF.

For exterior trim, I use GC Trim Detailer every second week with some spritzing up with NXT Tech Protectant in between.

I like using a even coat applicator pad. Then wipe off any excess with a Wal-Mart Microfiber.

That's because its water soluble which is actually a good thing because that means you and I can easily remove it when we wash the car and the reapply a fresh application.

This is the idea behind maintenance, actively maintaining a material or coating with the appropriate product.
