Just a guess... but were a polish company and getting into the paper and adhesive business would be a completely unique undertaking on it's own.
Even if a company here in the U.S. were to take on the endeavor it probably wouldn't take long for a cheap import to show up and possibly steal away your market, especially considering what a commodity product painters tape is.
How about one of you entrepreneurial types?
Besides the above, Meguiar's tries to teach people to be careful, slow down and avoid getting polish and wax on trim in the first place.
Just a personal note on the above... even when I slow down and focus on the task at hand it's still too easy to get some amount of product on all the pebble textured black plastic trim on cars made these days and removing it is such a pain that taping off usually ends up being a time saver at the end of the detail and in a bad/good sort of way lets you be more sloppy, (not that that's a good thing)

making a piece of tape..
1. build a row of plastic extrusion/film continous process machines
or 1B. develope a coated paper machines
2. adhesive application machines
3. R&D develop the adhesive or buy from National Starch..etc..
4. reprocess to a finish product with printing and or packaging
5. It better not be a me too product..if it's innovative better have a commitment to IP patent enforcement.
PS- 3M has leading edge continuous process mfg ranging from tape to paper to printed circuits
The developement of user friendly packaging with good shelf life and an applicator machine requiring only one hand might work..
Tape is a commodity material meaning low margins $
Worth exploring by someone though.

I agree with Mike about tape being a time saver. One other thing, when using a rotary - if you get too close to a piece of painted trim, like a door molding, it's real easy to roll the paint right off it (been there, done that) and once you do it, you'll NEVER make that mistake again. So, ya'll learn from my misfortune and remember, don't try this at home!
