  • Using #95 Speed Cut

I would like to try this and am not sure which pad to use. Foam or wool.
This will be my first compound using the Makita. I still have a lot to learn using the machine. I have found that #80 and the rotary makes paint like glass.

Try one spot with the least aggressive product, try the pad first, if it look nice on the job, you dont need to use wool. It depends on your car condition.

I have no experience with it so take following with a pound or two of salt: My (uneducated) guess is that nature of the product (compound) calls for wool as natural match, at least as a starting point.

Lake Country Foamed Wool works great with any aggressive polish

LC Purple Foamed Wool is very popular with M105, and I would think that goes for the 95 as well as they are VERY similar.

I use the LC PFW myself and it finishes extremely well and offers amazing "1 pass" cut of fairly severe swirls.

go with the 8006 foam pad first if thats not cutting it move up to a foam cutting pad 9006 I think? then move to the wool pad if thats not working. If the wool can not do it you'll need to do some wet sanding.

Mike or one of you smart guys correct me if I'm wrong but this is how I understand it and I plan on starting this process tomorrow myself.

Edit: Only do the above if you have tried other products like M80 and M83 at least, maybe even M84 before using M95 and M105.
