I have read about #16 on this forum in several places. What was the difference between #16 and #26? Seems they are awfully similar products.

#26 has a darkening effect upon the paint, whereas #16 seems to enhance the brightness. IMO, #16 is more suited to white/light/light metallic cars and #26 for black/dark and warmer coloured cars (reds, etc).
I trust one of the Meguiars people will be along soon to give the technical skinny on these products, but AFAIK #16 was designed in 1950 and as such as old-fashioned type wax, whereas #26 is more modern in its design. As to clearcoat/single paint suitability, I don't know ... waxes are waxes, right?

If you look at the time stamps... that took about 3 minutes and that includes editing the first message in the original post the link goes to to create and give it a clickable title.
