He said it works great diluted... so you COULD use it straight up or dilute it... Just curious... why do you spray it on a wet car when drying? Do you mean before claying, or you spray it onto the little water left on the car then dry... if so, why?

I spray it onto a wet car and then use a waffle-weave MF to dry the car. I got the idea from another detailing web forum and found that it works great. IMHO, the car has a deeper shine and I find that it does stay cleaner longer (I like to think the finish is too slick for the dirt to stick to).

I don't use LT for claying, but you can. I prefer to use the bottle of QD that comes with the white meg clay bars.

So you're getting some sort of protective layer from LT?

Not sure I would use the word "protection" because I don't consider it a wax.

Here's my suggestion, next time you wash the car, take some LT and spray it on a body panel before you dry it, and then dry it like normal.

Feel the body panel you sprayed the LT on and compare it one you did not. Bet you can FEEL the difference. The paint might be shinier too, but I find that is the case more with dark colored cars (my two Saturns are black and I noticed, my bud's Spec V is silver and I didn't see it as much).
