  • Was Last Touch changed since 2007?

    Yeah, it sounds wierd but I ask for this reason;

I got my friend involved into this that he finally stopped using my stuff and bought his own. I was with him mixing his products into Meg spray bottles and then proceeded to wash his truck, his lil Spec V and his huge landscaping trailer (thanks Super Degreaser).

He was drying his truck with his products and I had nothing to do so I pulled out my own LT and waffle weave to help him dry. He felt my side of the truck and tought it was "slicker" than his with LT. The smell was also different, his had more of a Pina Colada smell to it.

Was LT changed for 08? Do I have to put whats left in my gallon container under lock and key

I have heard about this... A friend of mine said he went crazy and bought 6 gallons back a long time ago, something with VOC maybe? I'd like to know too...

Is this product still being sold, or is it stocked anywhere outside of the US?

When you say Pina Colada smell it makes me think that he may have been using #135 Synthetic spray detailer. Just a hunch. Was his solution the same color as Last Touch or did it look more like a lemonade color?

Just wondering if perhaps his was diluted and yours was not?

I checked this morning. I have a gallon I ordered last july, and a gallon I just recieved last month. They both look and smell the same.

Nope, no changes to Last Touch. Aura_XR, if your LT was diluted a bit less than his then yours could have felt a bit slicker to the touch, but no matter how you slice it (or dilute it) it is supposed to smell like Pina Colada. If yours was actually a stronger dilution ratio than his one would expect the Pina Colada smell to actually be stronger in yours. Not sure if the Pina Colada aroma actually diminishes over time or not - ie, was yours mixed up a long time before your friends was?

Bottom line - Last Touch has not been changed.

Sorry about the delay in responding.

Yes, both are pink and both are out of LT Gallon jugs. We didn't order #135 Synthetic spray detailer so unless it was accidentally put into a LT jug at Megs, it wasn't that.

My own LT is diluted 1:1 as well as his, but my mix is older, I do shake the spray bottle up before using it. Mine doesn't have a "true" pina colada smell. Yeah, it smells like coconut, but it doesn't bring images of pina colada, its sort of different (Oh, where's smell-o-vision when you need it).

As you said Mike, I guess LT was not changed so I guess its just batch-to-batch differences. Was just curious, but I will never tell where I hid my gallon jug

What is the recommended (if any) dilution ration for Last Touch?

Wondering the same thing... I've been using mine without diluting as QD and 1:1 as clay lube

I think of my last vacation to Mexico everytime I use LT!

No need to wonder....you've been doing it right; it still works great as a mist & wipe when diluted though.

So does that mean I should be using it straight up when I spray it on a wet car when drying?
