How does Super Soap compare to Shampoo PLus?

Is one better than the other?

Re: How does Super Soap compare to Shampoo PLus?

Depends upon how you define the word better.

    Super Soap

Meguiar’s® Super Soap is engineered for high production detail environments. This rich foaming wash has special lubricating properties to help minimize scratching delicate clear coat surfaces. The foam is stable while washing, however specifically designed to break down quickly when rinsing for extra speed and efficiency.
    • Sizes Available
      D11201 Super Soap 1-Gallon
      D11205 Super Soap 5-Gallon
      D11255 Super Soap 55-Gallon
    Hyper-Wash

Typical dilution rates are obsolete when comparing them with Meguiar's® Hyper-Wash. Using innovative techniques Meguiar's has created a product that produces rich, stable foam at an unbelievable dilution rate of 400:1. Its biodegradable formula safely and effectively lifts dirt and grime off all surfaces.

    Shampoo Plus

Meguiar's® Shampoo Plus lubricating formula and luxurious foam team up to gently clean and condition even the most delicate clear coat surface without scratching. Its biodegradable conditioning formula deepens gloss, boosts shine and leaves a highly reflective, slick surface, making it the perfect choice for the ultimate car wash

Sometimes you just have to try a product yourself to see if it's best for you. We can try to get some more information for you tomorrow but everyone that deals with the Professional Line and Detailer Line car washes has finished for the day.

    What are you working on?
Do you own a high volume car wash or just washing your daily driver?

If you're just washing you're own cars it's pretty easy to find our Consumer Line selection at most auto parts stores.

I've tried all and love Hyper Wash. Cleans fine and has a high dilution. I use it all day long and my hands are not dried out. Foams extremely well too.

id be using for my cars im not a pro. i just wanted a good soap at a good price. i went to my local Advance yesterday and bought 64oz of Gold Class for $7.58 with tax. i thought that the Shampoo + would be a little bit cheaper but if I can get the GC for less than $8 i should prb stick with that. I just wondered if the Super Soap was any better than the Shampoo plus.

After read the description of the two the Shampoo + seems like it would be a little better (to me that is) over the Super Soap.

We use Super Soap, and a lot of it. About 5 gallons every 2 months

Personally, I've tried almost every Meguiar's soap out there, and Super Soap just does a better job FOR ME. I can't say that you'll love it. But myself, and everyone that has worked with me has absolutely loved this product, so we stick with it.

Shampoo Plus will in fact be lower cost per ounce for you, but I wonder if a gallon size product might be too much wash going after one car. Given what you've said, I think you will be happy with Gold Class Wash. Switching to Shampoo Plus may not be a huge difference in performance for you. They both have similar features, just go after two different user types.

Shampoo Plus vs Super Soap - Shampoo Plus has more "bells & whistles" and is more of a conditioning wash. Super Soap is a production wash product for high volume detail operations.

The above two washes are my personal favorites, I use them both frequently. I use Super Soap when I'm going to detail the car after the wash. And I use Shampoo Plus for a stand alone wash.

The only wash I could see switching to from Gold Class is #62, but I think that will end up more cents per ounce for you.

Haven't tried Shampoo plus, but really liked SuperSoap...foams well, cleans well, and rinses very easily...it actually breaks it's foam down when you rinse...

i have used both super soap and shampoo plus. i really like the super soap in the foam gun, and with the setting set to like 128:1 (i think that is the lowest setting) it foams really well. but i prefer the shampoo plus to hand wash the car.

you can order a sample of each from autodetailingsolutions.com so you can try both of them yourself. i believe that could be your best bet as you can see what you like to work with best.
