  • I am confused...

I have a bottle of A12 and #6 each, and what's the difference between both? which is a better product?

Also i have a bottle of #9, what is the difference between #9 and ColorX? which is a better product?

and I have a bottle of #2 as well, how does it compare with the DC1 as the paint cleaner? which is a better product?

note that i am in Canada so i do no have access to a lot of the products...i have #2, #6, #7, #9 and #26 and that's pretty much I can find for the Mirror glaze line (they don't have #66, #80-85 which draw good reviews)

So with the Mirror Glaze line that I have own, do I need any more products like A12, ColorX, DC1 to complete my lineup? or I should be able to handle any kind of cars that I am working on? Last but not least I work by HAND only, so please advise that if I should acquire some other products to work on my cars

    thanks

    Re: I am confused...

A12 is the mildest cleaner wax, M06 being one of the stronger.

M09 is a mild cleaner polish and Color X is another cleaner wax (AIO).

DC1 is the mildest paint cleaner, so M02 will do more work than it and most likely faster too.

With those products, by hand, you should be pretty well set. There are quite a few people here from Canada that can probably help a bit more since they know what is and isn't available up there.

Make sure the direction for use on the back label of the #2 Fine Cut Cleaner says it can be used by hand. We have an older version that was for rotary buffer use only.

As for your product line up, looks like you have enough to tackle most jobs that will come your way, remember Meguiar's 5 Step Paint Care Cycle

      Wash
Surface Prep - This would be clay, a paint cleaner and/or a cleaner/wax
      Polish - Optional step
Protect - Apply one or two thin coats of wax
Maintain - Using a quick detailer to remove light dust in-between normal washings
