  • M21 2.0 availability in Canada?

Hello all....just wondering if anyone has found a source for M21 2.0 in Canada as of yet. Local Meguiars dealer doesn't seem to have it yet, ADS doesn't ship north of the border and Autogeek seems to only carry the large quantity (64 oz. I think). Thanks in advance for any input...

It because we are Canadian..I guess. A G100 on this site 149 bucks..here (Alberta) 300-400 bucks. We don't even have access to NXT 2.0 yet. From what I've read and learned Walmart will be getting new product before anyone (suppliers). I really don't understand why the Canadian site has no mail order. Very frustating. I find just about every distributor has no idea what their sell and what I'm talking about. We need a REAL supplier in Canada. Can you here us?

BTW I have sent a E-mail to Meguiars about this.

Thanks for the responses guys! Mike, any help on your end is very much appreciated....CANADIAN GUY, know how you feel, a lot of the product is kinda hard to source out, maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. I've found that the folks at e-shine.ca are very helpful and carry some of the Meguiars basics(80,83,16,20,21 etc.), but the newer products seem to be hard to find up here....just finally got my hands on UQD last week!Anyway, sent e-shine an e-mail today to see if they have any intentions of carrying 21 2.0 or NXT 2.0 in the near future, will let you know. Re: M21 2.0 availability in Canada?

It has to do with how Meguiar's handles it's international distribution channels...or doesn't handle. My friend, kyle of KGCCS spent two months trying to become an e-tailer, it was really up to him to figure everything out but the supply seems to deal with saturating demand in the U.S. first.

It's fine by me, but seeing that I paid $40 for UQD off ebay last year stinks when it's being sold at CT for $12.99 .

Re: M21 2.0 availability in Canada?

UQD was released to Walmart before any ditributors got ahold of it. I share a shop with a such a distributor and when he asked about the new products (that are being sold in the US) his distrbutor has no idea what he's talking about.
Seems to be a communication/supply breakdowm. No offence but what does Mr. Morton do for Meguiars Canada? Really, cause it seems to be more than difficult to get the product we need...when we need it here in Canada.
The other part of this is the cost diff'. Our dollar is almost par with the US but we pay through the roof for products. Why? What ever happend to NAFTA?
Sorry I don't mean to sound negitive here but it really is frustrating at times.

The buffing pads kills me, it's about $6-$10 in the US and here I'm lucky to find a SINGLE buffing pad for less than $20. It's worse when we see results on this forum too lol. I just want it that much more.

Re: M21 2.0 availability in Canada?

                Hello everyone.
The M21 2.0 is not available yet in Canada for the simple fact that we have not sold out of the original stock we have. We are just getting through it now. Since the product has been available we have sold 10 cases of the M2116 since its inception. It might be on our next order and I will keep you posted.

In regards to products not being available in Canada there are many reasons for this which include 1) no demand 2) labelling regulations. If a product is to be sold in Canada it needs to be bilingual and if the product has no demand then we cannot justify it. I can order any product you want and bring it in for you.

In regards to prices in Canada you can blame the retailers for that. They are the ones who set the retail prices. It is not just our products that have this problem, trust me. I suggest you write your local retailer and complain.

any more questions I can be reached at gmorton@meguiarscanada.com

Re: M21 2.0 availability in Canada?

I think I am finally getting the NXT 2.0 on my next shipment next week. I will keep you posted. This also has nothing to do with Meguiar's Canada and everything to do with production in the United States running through the components. Once we get it you should see it on store shelves within about 6 weeks. Sorry for the delay!

If you want buffing pads cheaper email me and we can sell you direct for $15-20. I'd like to know where you get them for $6.00 because I'll buy them from there too.

Mr. Canadian Guy....if you would like to call me I can explain to you exactly what I do.

Mr.Morton has always been helpful Canadian Guy and always gives me the low-down on situations like this. Thanks Greg!

$6.00 US from "local" P&B shop supply stores variously in the Unite States. IIRC, I was able to get two pads for the price of one.

PS, Greg I will be contacting you about softbuff pads, that's a great price .

Re: M21 2.0 availability in Canada?

Greg is hooking me up hahaha when we finally stop playing phone tag. He is ultra helpful over the phone and via email. He is a pretty busy guy, so I understand, with university I only have time for 3 hours of sleep, this guy has a kid...hahaha I imagine that is much more work! I purchased quite a bit of stuff while I was in the states, but that was only because I didn't want to wait to get it. Canada is a much harder market for Meguair's. We are all so spread out, with lower volume.

I am sure Chris from E-shine or Greg @ Meguiar's Canada can help you out. I am not in a huge hurry seeing as yesterday we got more snow than we did all winter. I was going to work on a black corvette until it snowed like crazy. Back on topic, both Chris and Greg are great at getting you what you want. He has been nothing but helpful to me...even though all my stuff is special order. It takes time, but hey At least Greg is putting in a solid effort to get Meguiar's to Car Crazies all over Canada.

Greg, thank you for the response to this thread, your time and attention much appreciated.I received an e-mail back from Chris at e-shine, stating that they have no intention to carry #21 2.0 as the original hasn't been a big seller for them. I'll be in touch with you Greg, regarding ordering some stuff directly through you.....once again thank you for keeping us informed.

The M21 hasnt been a big seller for me either. There are very few people who want it and they are all on this forum. My distributors arent interested in it either due to the cost.
The M21 2.0 did not come on my most recent shipment and I will advise you when it does.

The NXT 2.0 just came in today. It will be shipped to Canadian Tire, Wal Mart, Home Hardware this week. It should be in most stores by end of May depending on when they sell through their old stock.

                              thanks
